Product Description This Texan hip-hop cult hero has been around the block a few times, and his history and hard-won knowledge come out in his rhymes. After a promsing debut in the late '80s, the D.O.C.' S career was thrown off course by a serious car accident.
Since returning to the rap game, he's appeared on such iconic west coast albums as Snoop's DOGGYSTYLE and Dre's THE CHRONIC. Both Snoop and Dre are guests here, alongside such other estimable Cali rappers as Ice Cube, Nate Dogg, and MC Ren, but its the sonic gravitas of the D.O.C. Himself that is the fulcrum of DEUCE, as he helps usher the west coast sound comfortably into the 21st century. Personnel: The D.O.C. Fan and looking for another album beside 'no one can do it better' then 'helter skelter' is a great album and whoever says it sucks doesn't appreciate the d.o.c. This album 'deuce' in my opinion is not a d.o.c. Album and i wouldnt buy it just listen to the samples and you will see. By (dng74life@yahoo.com) (0) (0) possible the worst west rap album ever?
Whats the deal, am i missing something? 'The D.O.C' is one of raps legends, a creator and one of the west costs finest ever rappers. I know there was the fatal car accident that robbed him of his voice, but he managed 'helter skelter' that in my opinion was not that bad, but if you compare any album to 'no one can do it better' only a few can compete, let alone better it. As far as buying this cd, DO NOT DO IT.
'The D.O.C' only raps on about 1-3% of the cd and the rest is rapped by some other wanabe lame rappers who are not even fit to lick the shoes of 'The D.O.C'. Am i missing something? Has his voice got so bad he can't even manage to rap a verse now?
I hate to sound harsh but if that's the case i feel for you dude, but don't sell this cd as a 'D.O.C' album as it clearly is'nt. In the end his true fans loose out, the ones who buy the cd without even a listen and only but it on the merrit that it is a album by the legendary D.O.C. Maybe the cd should have been labelled 'The D.O.C & FRIENDS' TRUST ME NO ONE CAN DO IT BETTER ( BRING 1989 BACK ) By (Brighton England) (0) (0) tight Even though he's not rapping on most of the songs u still feel his flow his presence is still there if u are a true fan u will always feel or connect with that artist By rashaan (cincinnati, oh) (0) (0) get a copy for ya peeps too!! Don't sleep on this album. This brother helped define the west coast heat the u.s. Felt way back.
This is the album for both wizened g's and young 'uns. The tight lyrics and production make you appreciate an artist who stayed true to his hustle and didn't serve no fake product. This gem gots to bump in your ride, fix the '64, lowrider bike, while you build with your fam', whateva.
