Hi, you are not alone.I am an overseas school senior graduated in Dec 2013 from High school in Australia. I am offered the BS program (biology) and invited to apply for the BS/MD program from the centre of pre-professional studies. I am offered the Capstone scholarship for BS but await the BS/MD admission decision.so we have to wait until such time and I am sure many students with high credentials would have also applied for this accelerated medical program which is highly regarded. Have a great day. Thanks OmarElk for the update. I was informed that the medical school can select up to 20 for the BS/MD program. Download Free Stephenie Meyer Midnight Sun Italiano Pdf Editor. They would not give out last years stats for admitted students or any other information.
They did inform me that if you received a scholarship, the scholarship can be used for the first two years of medical school. This is huge because you would only have to pay for the last two years of medical school plus the summer courses. Since I have the Founders Scholarship, if I get accepted into this program, I will only have to pay for the last two years of medical school.
Dental Programs The Howard University College of Dentistry offers a DDS, or Doctor of Dental Surgery, degree. The University also has a unique BS/DDS program, where.
Imagine getting a medical degree for under $80K. The typical medical degree costs about $300K. Just received the following email from Howard Med School: Dear Prospective Student, The Center for Preprofessional Education has received your BS/MD program application documents. Your file is complete and now being reviewed by the program committee. By April 7, 2014 you will receive (1) of two decisions letters: 1) An invitation for an interview or 2) A letter suggesting you follow the tradition four year path. Thank you for your interest in Howard University’s Accelerated Program, If you have questions you can contact the Center for Preprofessional Education, College of Arts & Sciences via email at hu.preprofessional@gmail.com.
Hi All I did receive the same letter rlpak14 posted. I have Capstone scholarship but have not received nay information as yet for the interview. I am from Australia and have the same issue of not being able to travel to US if I get an interview. I sent a request to the Centre for Pre-Professional education requesting if they would allow a SKYPE interview but they have not responded. I am in a Biomed Science course in the first semester and afraid that I will miss some quizzes and tests if I travel to the US.
I haven't seen any threads dedicated to the program. Since there are threads for Northwestern, UMKC, and PSU, I'd thought creating a thread for Howard would be a good addition.
In order to keep this from being a spam post, I'm going to start off with some (very legitimate) questions. -What are the stats needed to get into this program (average SAT/SAT II/ACT scores, GPA, etc.)? (I can't find them anywhere) -Is it a guaranteed or provisional? -What percentage of graduates match into their residency of choice? Taxeringskalendern 2012 Pdf Download Free. -What is the average STEP I score? -How good are their clinical rotations? -How much will it cost, and are there any scholarships available for this program? These are all questions that I've had about this program, and I've never been able to find an answer. Countless google searches have produced nothing, unfortunately. I am a senior so I have already applied and I will definately tell you guys if I get in. But, someone I know attended the school (late 90's-ish ->entry date into BS/MD) and he said that it wasn't that hard to get in. But, the demand for such a program has probably increased drematically. So I don't know (but, I hope I get in).
